Job description
As a dynamic and fast-growing specialty pharmacy, we are dedicated to providing holistic, white-glove support to our customers, both internal and external. DirectRx is seeking an Accountant with substantial exposure to AR transactions and bookkeeping databases.
This role will be responsible for maintaining a database of AR transactions, recording and tracking payments in our internal systems, updating client accounts with payment or contact information, and generating reports.
The ideal candidate would have 2+ years of relevant experience in an accounting capacity. Efficiency in Microsoft Excel will be an essential key to success. It will be helpful if you consider yourself to have good communication skills with above average analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Ensure transactions are reported in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Work closely with team members to assist with the month-end close.
- Assist with the annual audit process including the draft of the financial statements and related notes.

Our Account Manager in Training Program is a two-phased, hands-on approach designed to train motivated individuals entering the workforce on every aspect of our business. A person in this position is responsible for assisting in conducting insurance verifications, reconciling payments and accounts, medical and pharmacy billing and problem-solving of claims issues.
Responsibilities
- Conducting insurance verifications to understand benefit coverage
- Responsible for the submission of medical and pharmacy claims
- Resolving at-issue claims and working these claims to resolution
- Reconciling of payments from insurance plans
- Managing patient balances
