DirectRX gains accreditation by national association

TROY – DirectRx, an independent, specialty pharmacy based in Troy, has been awarded accreditation by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP) through its durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics and supplies (DMEPOS) accreditation program, according to Amanda Zawaideh of DirectRx.

The NABP DMEPOS program ensures that suppliers meet the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) quality and accreditation standards. Product requirements include detailed evaluations of company intake and assessment, delivery and set-up, training/instructions to beneficiaries and caregivers and follow-up procedures.

DirectRx is one of three independents in the state that is accredited by NABP. For more information, visit www.DirectRx.com.
